Handcrafted from a solid block of salt, the Carpel Himalayan Rock Salt Biodegradable Urn is a popular choice for ocean burial as it gently returns the remains of a loved one to the sea. It is sturdy and substantial until placed in water where it will dissolve within a few hours to release the cremated remains. The Carpel Himalayan Rock Salt Biodegradable Urn also can be used for ground burial in soil where the urn will biodegrade within three months. The lid is not threaded--it sits on top but can be secured with biodegradable adhesive if desired.
