The Grace Lavender Blue Tealight Urn has a compartment under the tealight candle for holding a portion of a loved one's ashes. You simply unscrew the top from the bottom to access the compartment. Once reassembled, you can place the candle of your choice in the glass votive and set the votive in the recessed area on the top. Many people find that lighting a candle allows them to express their love and remembrance. 

In terms of capacity, the Grace Lavender Blue Tealight Urn is considered a small cremation urn which can hold a portion of a person's ashes: 14 cubic inches (approximately 1/4 cup).
