Small Journey Biodegradable Urn - Natural

The Small Journey Biodegradable Urn in Natural honors a loved one in a respectful, earth-friendly manner. This small biodegradable urn is designed to be filled with a small amount of cremated remains and placed in a lake or ocean. It will float briefly and then sink gracefully to the bottom. After a period of time, as the paper is saturated, the urn will release the contents into the water.

How it works: A portion of cremated remains are placed in a water soluble bag (included) and then inserted into the side of the Journey Earthurn Biodegradable Urn. The urn folds closed and is secured with a paper wrap until the family is ready for the water (or earth) burial. 

This smaller size Journey biodegradable urn is typically used when families wish to divide the cremated remains or when the loved one’s wishes were to have a portion of his/her cremated remains scattered at a special place.

The naturally-colored, organic paper of the urn has a flecked texture and includes bits of fiber derived from sustainably collected mulberry bark. Given that it is a handcrafted piece, the mini urn will show variation and may slightly differ in size, shape, and appearance from the image displayed.

 

Included with this biodegradable urn is a GEO-code that can be used to Geo Tag the final resting place of your loved one's remains if desired.
